Our mission is to develop a mentor-focused Career Transition Program for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.'s Gamma Epsilon Undergraduate Chapter, ensuring the successful development and empowerment of students to achieve their goals under the auspices of the Gamma Epsilon Alumni Association.

Mentorship

Pair undergraduate members with alumni mentors (GEAA members) based on career field and interests.​

Schedule regular in-person or virtual check-ins to discuss career goals and progress.

Workshops

Resume Writing: Teach members how to create effective resumes and cover letters.

Interview Skills: Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback.

Networking Skills: Offer sessions on how to network effectively, in-person and online.

Job Shadowing and Internship Opportunities

Organize job shadowing days with alumni/GEAA members in various industries.

Compile a list of internship opportunities and job openings identified by alumni/GEAA members.

Guest Speaker Series

Invite successful alumni to speak about their career paths, industry insights, and tips for success.

Focus on diverse fields to cater to a wide range of interests.

Career Fairs and Networking Events

Host an annual career fair where local companies and alumni/GEAA members can connect with undergraduates.

Facilitate informal networking events, such as mixers or dinners.

Online Resources

Create a shared online platform (e.g., a Slack channel, GEAA website and or Google Classroom) for sharing job postings, resources, and networking opportunities.

GEAA career members upload their resumes to a shared location to be used as a template for undergraduate brothers in similar career fields.

Offer access to online courses or certifications relevant to career skills.

Feedback and Evaluation

After each event, collect participant feedback to assess the program's effectiveness and areas for improvement.

Adjust the program based on feedback to better meet the member's needs.
